Aelicia L. Thomas
Aelicia L. Thomas's journey is a testament to the power of determination and resilience. Born and raised in the small town of Maben, Mississippi, where aspirations often took a backseat to the practicality of finding a good job, Aelicia defied the odds and pursued her dreams with unwavering tenacity.
Upon facing the pivotal decision of college or work after high school, Aelicia chose the path less traveled, driven by an innate desire to succeed. Graduating with a B.A. degree from Alcorn State University and later earning her law degree from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss), Aelicia laid the foundation for a remarkable career marked by perseverance and passion.
Despite encountering setbacks, including the loss of her job with North MS Rural Legal Services, Aelicia embraced adversity as an opportunity for growth. Fuelled by fear and determination, she founded her own law firm in the Mississippi Delta, overcoming self-doubt and the skepticism of others to build a thriving legal practice.
